Top shuttler Saina Nehwal decided to withdraw from the Indian Open BWF World Tour Super 500 on Wednesday (March 20th) after failing to recover from the stomach related problem.

Last Monday, 29-year-old Saina had played in All England championship despite the pain. Prior to the tournament, he had problems with stomach and intestine and fire related problems.

Last week he had to move from the Swiss Open and had to be admitted to the hospital for treatment. On Wednesday, Saina informed the Indian Badminton Association (BAI) about the decision to withdraw from the $ 350,000 tournament.

The BAI official said on condition of anonymity, “It is not well since the All England Championship.” Due to pain in the stomach, he decided to step down and reported it to the letter.

Saina Nehwal won the women’s singles title at the India Open in 2015. Now Olympic silver medalist and former champion PV Sindhu will be India’s only strong contenders in the women’s singles.
